How to Create Your First Video

ClipsMate offers five distinct workflows for creating professional videos in minutes. This guide walks you through each option so you can choose the one that best fits your content needs.

Step 1: Open the Video Creator

After logging in, click the "Create Video" button in the top navigation bar or on your dashboard home screen. You will see a modal presenting the five creation workflows.

Step 2: Choose Your Workflow

Text-to-Video — Type or paste a script and let ClipsMate's AI assemble scenes, stock footage, transitions, and voiceover automatically.
URL-to-Video — Paste any blog post or product page URL. The AI extracts the key content, generates a script, and builds the video for you.
Template-Based — Browse hundreds of pre-designed templates organized by category. Customize text, colors, media, and music before rendering.
Composition Editor — Start with a blank canvas or a composition preset. Drag and drop scenes, text layers, images, and audio clips for full creative control.
AI Auto-Create — Provide a topic and target platform. The AI handles everything: script, visuals, voiceover, captions, and music.

Step 3: Customize Your Video

Regardless of the workflow you choose, you will land in the editor where you can:

Edit individual scenes and adjust their duration.
Swap stock footage or upload your own media.
Change text content, fonts, and colors to match your brand.
Select background music from the built-in library or upload a track.
Enable AI voiceover and pick from over 20 natural-sounding voices.

Step 4: Preview and Render

Click "Preview" to watch a low-resolution draft. When you are satisfied, hit "Render". ClipsMate processes your video in the cloud — typical render times are 2–5 minutes depending on length and resolution.

Step 5: Download or Publish

Once rendering is complete, you can download the video in MP4 format, or publish it directly to connected social media accounts. You can also use Magic Resize to generate versions for different platforms (landscape, portrait, square) in a single click.
