Connecting Social Media Accounts

Connecting Social Media Accounts

ClipsMate supports direct publishing to five major social media platforms. Once connected, you can publish or schedule videos without leaving the ClipsMate dashboard.

Supported Platforms

  1. YouTube — publish as public, unlisted, or private videos with title, description, and tags.
  2. Instagram — publish to Reels or feed posts (requires a Business or Creator account).
  3. TikTok — publish directly to your TikTok profile with caption and hashtags.
  4. Facebook — publish to pages or groups you manage.
  5. LinkedIn — publish to your personal profile or company pages.

Step 1: Navigate to Social Accounts

Open Settings > Social Accounts (or click "Social Accounts" in the sidebar). You will see connection cards for each supported platform.

Step 2: Connect via OAuth

Click "Connect" on the platform you want to add. You will be redirected to the platform's authorization page where you log in and grant ClipsMate permission to publish on your behalf. ClipsMate requests only the minimum permissions needed for publishing.

Step 3: Select Publishing Destinations

After connecting, select the specific pages, channels, or profiles you want to publish to. For example:

  • YouTube — select which channel (if you manage multiple).
  • Facebook — select which page or group.
  • LinkedIn — select personal profile or company page.

Managing Connected Accounts

From the Social Accounts page, you can:

  • Disconnect — remove the platform connection at any time.
  • Reconnect — if a token expires, click "Reconnect" to re-authorize.
  • Test Connection — verify that the connection is active and publishing permissions are valid.

Token Expiration

Social platform tokens expire periodically (timing varies by platform). ClipsMate monitors token health and shows a warning badge on accounts that need re-authorization. You will also receive an email notification when a token is about to expire.

Team Access

Connected social accounts are shared across the workspace. Any team member can publish to any connected account. Owners can restrict publishing permissions per account in the Social Accounts settings if needed.

Connect all your platforms once, and then publish to multiple channels with a single click after every video render.
